we had to look around for quite some time before we finally learned about HALCYON, a friendly, customer-oriented british company that manufactures an excellent replica of the original R.A.F. MK8 flying goggles. they are superbly constructed. the brass frames are hand-stitched to finest quality leather masks. the replaceable lenses are made of 3 mm laminated glass, tested to meet BS 4110. what's more, they offer 99% uv protection.
besides owning original goggles from the german "luftwaffe", russian aviator goggles from the 50s and new russian aviator goggles, i now also have a pair of HALCYON MK8 goggles.

when talking about flying goggles, everybody thinks of the famous MK8 goggles. originals are rare. but there are copies, of course. some of them are comparable to the original; others hardly deserve to be called MK8.
